What a GREAT Trip...  celebrating our 30th anniversary, Karen, Ryan and I arrived in Hawaii on July 24 and spent 5 fabulous days with Vern and Lorraine. We shared a true Hawaiian birthday with the Leialoha Family, saw an active volcano up close and personal, participated in a couple of local political fundraisers for Lorraine (which later proved to be successful in the elections),
and played golf at Volcano,  Waikaloa Beach and .

Left the big island for Maui on the 29th (our Anniversary) where we stayed right on the golf course at Kapalua Villas, with a pool right next door! 

We arrived at 12:48 and were on the first tee of the Village course at 2pm.  Had  a wonderful dinner right on the beach at the Kapalua resort to celebrate our 30th, toured the Island including a return to the Pioneer Inn in Lahaina where Karen and I had spent a long weekend 30 years ago and an exciting drive around the north side of the island, so steep and narrow it will be long remembered.   We also played the Bay, the Plantation and the Village course again before leaving on Aug 2.
